Name: Momokimi
Appearance: Despite being almost twenty, Momokimi has a very childlike appearance. Her eyes are large and almond shaped. While her nose is slightly long and elegant, her lips are full and pouty, the perfect shape for a geiko. Her face is oval and full, giving her a healthy look.
Momokimi is very petite, reaching only to about 5'2".
History: Born in Yokohama to a family of kimono-dyers, Momokimi (then Yumi) hardly expected her life to become what it became. She was the youngest of five daughters, so when her parents went into debt due to their mother's constant spending, she was the first to be sold. At that time, she was five years old. Within three weeks, she ended up in Gion, Kyoto, working as a maid in one of the many okiya there.
At age six, she was sent to school to begin learning her gei . At first, Momokimi did not like it; she missed her family back in Yokohama and tried not to use Kyoto-ben when she could get away with it. But when she realized her parents would not come to save her, she began to give into the fact that one day, she would become a geiko whether she wanted to or not.
Finally, at fourteen, she became a maiko. She was immediately popular with her customers because of her innocent appearance and persona. It did not take her long to gain the attentions of powerful men in the military, and when it was time for her mizuage her patron was one of the naval commanders.
After a few more years as an apprentice, Momokimi turned her collar. Now, she is seeking a girl to take on as an apprentice and hoping to find a danna.
Occupation: Geiko in Gion. Does not currently have a younger sister.
